Motorcyclist Injured In Accident On Westheimer Road.

A motorcyclist sustained life-threatening injuries after an accident that involved a Ford Edge.

July 28, 2018 – 9:30am: Authorities say a 34-year-old man driving a 2008 Ford Edge on Westheimer Road veered out of his lane and sideswiped a motorcycle ridden by a 25-year-old man. At the time, the Edge’s driver was heading east near the intersection of Fondren Road – not for from the well-known Minuti Coffee and a Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, in zip 77063.

The motorcyclist was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment as soon as EMS arrived. EMS reported that the injuries sustained by the motorcyclist are life-threatening. He was injured on both arms, both legs, and his back. Meanwhile the driver of the SUV was reportedly not injured.

Witnesses reportedly said that the motorcycle was struck by a Ford Edge SUV traveling at a moderate rate of speed. It was further reported that the impact made the motorcycle crash and caused it to roll into the shoulder of the road. The motorcyclist was also reportedly thrown off the bike.

The crash is still under investigation. No further details have been released to the press as at time of reporting this story.
