We are honored to announce the winner of the 2022 Terry Bryant Law School Scholarship is Ian Malesiewski of North East, Pennsylvania. Ian was selected for his inspirational essay and outstanding academic achievements, as well as for his dedicated volunteer and leadership experience. We are pleased to help this remarkable University of Miami graduate attend Harvard Law School in the fall.
Ian’s essay shares how he was severely injured in high school, but how that hasn’t stopped him from pursuing his dreams. It has in fact given him even more drive to pursue a career in law and improve the lives of those with disabilities. It is clear he will be a passionate leader in the community and we are happy to help him along that path.
Our 2021 winner of the Terry Bryant Law School Scholarship is Fatema Jaffer (Orlando, FL), selected for her superb essay and an exceedingly impressive and diverse mix of academic achievements, public service, and athletic accomplishments. We are honored to help this phenomenal Florida State University graduate attend Harvard Law School in the fall.
Fatema’s essay illustrates her keen intellect and selfless nature as she describes how her journey to Kenya to train as an elite long distance runner exposed her to social and economic inequities—and inspired her to fight for children in marginalized communities. Fatima already has a clear vision of how she will use her knowledge as a lawyer and educator to create a new program in Kenya aimed at eradicating educational barriers through public policy work and legislative reform, and we are proud to help her embark on her ambitious journey.
