Ship’s crew mishandled mooring line, which “snapped back,” striking worker in leg, severely fracturing leg and causing him to require external fixation for nine months, lose work for ten months, and remain under the active care of an orthopedic surgeon for over a year. He was left with a permanent defect in his fibula.
