Art Rascon is a prominent addition to the team at Terry Bryant Accident & Injury Law – in a new role designed to help us continue to educate Texas injury victims of their rights, while also promoting safety in our communities.
We are inspired by Art’s distinguished and extraordinary career. Our team is proud and honored to have a partnership with him. Art will be our spokesperson and share ways our team serves and participates in our community. Many Houstonians know Art as the long-time anchor of KTRK news, but his remarkable career reaches far and wide across the U.S., and the world.
Art’s career in journalism is long and full of well-deserved accolades and awards, taking him to over 75 countries and almost every state in America. Art has won 20 Emmy awards and twice won the prestigious Edward R. Murrow Award for his impressive work in bringing Americans news that impacts their lives. Several awards were for Art’s coverage of major hurricanes, including Opal in 1995, Fran in 1996, Katrina in 2005, and Ike in 2008.
As a reporter, Art shared his insights about important events in the U.S., South America, and Central America. Art covered the O.J. Simpson trial, the Oklahoma City bombing, the Branch Davidian standoff in Waco, TX, and political unrest in several countries, such as Haiti, Mexico, and Peru.
After working as a reporter and as news anchor at local affiliates in Utah, Texas, and California, Art rose to national prominence when he joined CBS Evening News. Art also expanded his international reach in reporting when he covered conflicts in Iraq, Serbia, Kosovo, and Bosnia. Houstonians have been fortunate that Art’s final stop in his career was Houston, as a trusted and dependable anchor of our local news for over two decades.
After many years of such an amazing and celebrated career in news, we could not be happier to have Art impart wisdom gained from a lifetime of amazing experiences to our team at Terry Bryant Accident & Injury Law.
