Houston Attorney Michael P. Mitchell

Attorney Michael Mitchell

Michael P. Mitchell is a Houston personal injury attorney at Terry Bryant Accident & Injury Law

“No one should have to endure the harm caused by someone else’s negligence.”

Mr. Mitchell is an experienced trial lawyer who has tried over 30 cases to verdict. As a Houston native and Bellaire High School graduate, he understands local needs and advocates for his community. Mr. Mitchell provides legal representation to a wide range of clients across Houston and the surrounding areas.

Inspired by his father, Mr. Mitchell knew early on he wanted to pursue law. He leverages his experience in personal injury litigation to protect clients’ rights and pursue fair compensation.

“I fight for the full compensation you may be eligible for under Texas personal injury law. Every client deserves someone in their corner—someone who knows what it means to go up against insurance companies and who will keep pushing for justice until the job is done.”

At Terry Bryant Accident & Injury Law, Mr. Mitchell focuses on auto accidents, truck accidents, premises liability, work injuries, and other personal injury and wrongful death claims.

He works directly with clients to navigate the legal process and move forward after serious injuries. If insurance companies fail to make a fair offer, Mr. Mitchell is ready to take a case to trial.

Before joining the firm, Mr. Mitchell handled complex trials and litigation in several respected Houston law offices. He served as an Assistant District Attorney in Harris County for nearly three years, taking many cases to verdict and collaborating closely with law enforcement. Mr. Mitchell then honed his trial and litigation skills as a staff attorney at Susman Godfrey, playing a crucial role in high-stakes civil cases handled by large teams. He further broadened his experience at Potts Law Firm as an associate in the personal injury and litigation division, managing personal injury cases, including complex mass tort cases.

In law school, Mr. Mitchell spent the summer after his first year as a judicial intern for the Honorable Lynn N. Hughes and the Honorable David K. Hittner, U.S. District Court Judges for the Southern District of Texas, Houston Division. After his second year, he clerked for the personal injury firm Arnold & Itkin and the commercial litigation firm Hicks Thomas, leading Houston-based law firms that shaped his methodical and trial-ready approach.

Drawing on extensive experience in both criminal and civil law across state and federal courts, Mr. Mitchell brings a well-rounded perspective to even the most challenging cases in the Texas court system.
