WELCOME TO WORKING WITH TERRY BRYANT ACCIDENT & INJURY LAW
Steps We Take in Your Case. Learn about how we help you, the steps involved with your case, and important tips to follow. After a client retains our services, the investigation into your accident begins. We may need to hire experts to determine what happened, how, and why. We will gather your medical records to document your injuries. Our firm will also document your lost wages. Don’t discuss the accident with the insurance company, other people, or on social media.
PROPERTY DAMAGE TIPS
Learn the Dos and Don’ts in Your Property Damage Case. We provide you information about the specific steps involved in your legal claim. To help you with your property (vehicle) damage claim, you can expect to receive compensation from the at fault party’s insurer. The insurance company should pay for your use of a rental vehicle and damage to your personal property caused by the accident. Also, you may be eligible for reimbursement for the loss in value of your car after it’s repaired.
How to Make Your Claim a Success
Medical Care and the Fair Compensation. We explain why getting thorough medical care and documentation of that care is so important. We also provide a few tips to help you get compensation for your injuries. Medical treatment should last for as long as it’s needed. Discuss your situation fully and truthfully with your healthcare providers so they understand what you’re going through. Avoid discussing your health or posting photos on social media because an insurance company may use them to claim you’re healthier than you actually are.
Doctor Release to Medical Treatment
The Compensation Phase. After medical treatment, we will work to get you full compensation for your injuries. We will need documents from you and for you to answer some questions. This information will help us get your claim and tell your story to the fullest.
MAKING THE DEMAND PACKAGE TO THE INSURER
Review of Documentation to Start Our Negotiations. At this phase, we are ready to start negotiations for your settlement. We gather substantial documents and evidence we send to the insurance company to start negotiations. They include your medical records, which could take some time to obtain from your healthcare providers. We will also discuss the impact of the accident on your life.
NEGOTIATIONS WITH THE INSURER
How We Proceed after the Insurer’s First Offer. After the insurance company receives our demand package and performs its own investigation, they should contact us to discuss settling your case. We typically don’t make a demand first, we let them tell us what they think your case is worth, then work from there. We will go back and forth to get you the most compensation possible. If their final offer isn’t acceptable, we will file a lawsuit on your behalf.
SETTLEMENT AND MEDICAL BILLS PAYMENT
Paying Remaining Medical Bills. After settlement, during the final accounting process, we will go through your medical bills. We will determine if you have medical expenses that need to be paid and if there is a need to reimburse your medical insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid for what they’ve paid, as necessary.
