Two Injured in East Houston Crash

According to Metro Video, both the man and the woman involved in the crash are expected to survive.

May 15, 2019 – 11:45 pm: Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident that took place late on Wednesday night in East Houston. One of the drivers ran a red light leading up to the accident, but at this time it is unclear which of them had the right of way.

The accident took place at the intersection of Wallisville and Maxey. The woman was headed westbound in a car on Wallisville, while the man was headed northbound in a pickup on Maxey.

When the crash took place, the pickup hit the side of the woman’s vehicle. The woman was pinned in her car and had to be cut out of the vehicle when firefighters arrived on the scene. Both the man and the woman were taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Police believe one of the drivers ran a red light, but at this time it is unclear which of them was responsible for the accident. Both of the drivers are expected to survive, and the accident remains under investigation as of the present time.
