One Dead in Cleburne RV Fire

According to news reports, the fire is being investigated jointly by the Cleburne Police Department and the Texas State Fire Marshal.

 

December 9, 2018 – 12:15 am: One person is dead after a recreational vehicle caught fire very early on Sunday morning in Cleburne, Texas.

The fire took place in an RV that was parked behind a house on the 300 block of Myers, in Cleburne.

The Cleburne Police Department received many calls about a series of explosions heard in the area at the time of the fire. By the time police arrived at the RV’s location, the vehicle was burning profusely.

Once the flames were under control, firefighters found a body in the remains of the RV. The identity of the person who died is not known at this time.

The Cleburne Police Department and the Texas State Fire Marshal are working to find the cause of the fire, which is still unknown at this time. The Cleburne Medical Examiner is due to perform an autopsy, which should help identify the body and determine the cause of death.

An investigation into the fire is currently ongoing. No charges have been filed, nor citations issued at this time.
