Long haul trucker suffered thoracic spine injury, and his wife suffered cervical spine injury, when their 18-wheeler was struck from the rear by another 18-wheeler. The accident was caught on the client’s dash cam video and showed that the client had entered the interstate and established his position in the lane well before impact. The defendant trucker admitted on deposition that he should have avoided the crash. Driver/husband suffered unusual thoracic spine injury that required surgery. Passenger/wife suffered neck and back injuries and required two surgeries to her cervical spine. Settlement was for policy limits (after payment of property damage).
