Client was driving on IH-10 when a work truck entered her lane and struck her vehicle, causing her to spin out, cross the shoulder and feeder road, and come to rest in the adjacent field. Client’s vehicle was totaled. Client suffered neck, shoulder, and back injuries and required surgery to her shoulder and pain management injections to her low back. The driver of the truck admitted he fell asleep prior to impact. Client’s career as a nurse was impaired, as she could no longer lift patients.
