Our client suffered to his neck and back due to a motor vehicle collision caused by a distracted driver. Our client proceeded though an intersection on a green light when the adverse driver ran the red light and failed to yield the right of way as she made a left-hand turn, causing the collision to occur. After months of physical therapy and pain management treatment, surgery was recommended – but our client decided to not undergo surgery given the risks. The third-party carrier disputed liability and placed some fault on our client. After filing a lawsuit, we obtained third party policy limits and settled with the UIM carrier for over twice their initial offer.
