Woman Killed in Hit-and-Run Accident

Harris County Deputies report that they are still looking for the driver, and anyone with information about the accident should call the Vehicular Crimes Division at (713) 274-7400.

April 9, 2019 – 10:00 pm: Laquria Williams, a woman in her 20s, was killed in a crash that took place in north Harris County on Monday night. The man driving the Chevrolet SUV that hit her reportedly stopped at the scene and fled soon after.

The accident happened on the 4900 block of Aldine Mail Route.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Williams was crossing the street when the vehicle hit her. Reports state that she was not crossing at a crosswalk and did not yield the right of way to the oncoming SUV.

The driver of the SUV stopped at the scene after hitting her, and witnesses report that he appeared to be distraught. He fled the scene without rendering aid to the woman, who was later pronounced dead on the scene of the accident.

Deputies of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office are still searching for the man who was driving the SUV. Investigation into the crash is still ongoing, and anyone with knowledge of the crash is asked to contact the Vehicular Crimes Division.
