Woman Struck and Killed While Crossing Street

According to police, the driver of the vehicle that hit the woman showed signs of intoxication at the scene of the accident.

April 10, 2019 – 9:00 pm: A woman was killed while crossing the street on Wednesday night in west Houston. The driver who hit her reportedly showed signs of intoxication after the accident.
The woman was crossing the street on the 12100 block of Westheimer Road. There is not a designated crosswalk in the area.

While the woman was crossing the street, a car traveling westbound struck her. The woman was thrown into the back of the car and carried westward for several blocks.

According to Houston Police, the driver of the vehicle that hit the woman showed some signs of intoxication on the scene. The driver was not injured in the accident.

Neither the driver nor the victim has been publicly identified at the present time. At this time there is no definite word on whether the driver will face criminal charges in connection with the accident or not.

Investigation into the crash is still ongoing at the present time, and more information will be made available to the public as it comes to light.
