April 14, 2019 – 2:00 am: A driver and a pedestrian were injured in a crash that took place very early Sunday morning in east Houston. Both of those involved in the accident have been hospitalized in connection with the crash.

The accident took place on Clinton Drive, near the intersection with North Carolina Street.

The driver was headed westbound on Clinton, hitting a woman who was walking in the road. The driver then lost control of the vehicle and hit a tree in the median.

The pedestrian was injured in the original crash, while the driver was injured by the impact with the tree. Both of the victims have been taken to the hospital, and are currently listed in stable condition.

The cause of the accident is unclear at this time. It appears as though the pedestrian was walking along the street at the time of the accident, rather than across it. Neither the driver nor the pedestrian has been publicly identified at the present time.
