Two Injured in Collision Between Dump Truck and Ambulance

According to officials on the scene, the crew members appear to have suffered only minor injuries.

April 11, 2019 – 4:00 pm: Two ambulance crew members were injured in an accident that took place when their ambulance hit a dump truck in northeast Harris County.
The crash took place at the intersection of the Beltway 8 feeder road and Lee Road.

The ambulance was headed to the hospital with a patient on board at the time of the accident. The patient was unconscious in the back when the accident took place.

The driver of the dump truck was reportedly not injured in the accident. The two crew members who were injured in the crash only experienced minor injuries.

Information on the cause of the accident is not available at this time. It is unclear why the driver of the dump truck was unable to get out of the way of the ambulance before the collision took place.

Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office warned drivers on the frontage road to expect delays on Thursday evening. The investigation into the crash is still ongoing at the present time, and more information should be available thereafter.
