Three Killed in Cargo Plane Crash Near Houston

According to news reports, Mesa Airlines has issued a statement stating that Capt. Sean Archuleta was one of the three crew members onboard.

February 23, 2019 – 12:40 pm: Three people were killed on Saturday afternoon when a Boeing 767 cargo plane crashed into Trinity Bay near Houston. Of the three crew members who were killed in the crash, the airline has only identified Captain Sean Archuleta.

Atlas Air flight 3591 crashed into Trinity Bay, about 35 miles east of Houston. As of Sunday afternoon, two bodies had been found and the search for the third one was ongoing.

The flight was headed to Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, having departed from Miami a few hours before. The cause of the crash is unclear at this time. Search crews are looking for the remains of the third crew member, as well as the “black box” that will hopefully bring light to the cause of the crash.

Search and investigation of the crash are still ongoing at this time.
