Three Injured in Rollover Crash on Southwest Freeway

According to police, one of the three people injured in the accident was an infant.

May 9, 2019 – 10:00 am: Three people, including one infant, were injured in a rollover crash that took place on the Southwest Freeway on Thursday morning. The seriousness of the injuries has not been made known to the public at this time.

The crash took place in the HOV lane of the Southwest Freeway. A pickup truck was stalled in the lane when a black Chevrolet Tahoe hit the vehicle.

The pickup was seriously damaged, while the Tahoe flipped onto its side and eventually came to a rest about 30 feet away from the pickup truck.

Three people were trapped in the vehicles, including one infant. METRO officials had to remove them from the vehicles in order to free them and take them to the hospital.

Police have not released the identities of the victims of the crash at this time. It is still unclear why the driver of the Tahoe was unable to avoid the pickup truck, leading up to the accident. The crash is still under investigation, and more information will be made available as it becomes known.
