Police Officer Injured in Accident with Another Officer

According to police reports, the officer was headed to help another police officer who was attacked in a parking lot.

May 11, 2019 – 1:00 pm: Joel Mohr, a one-and-a-half-year veteran of the Pasadena Police Department, was injured after being struck by another officer in a parking lot on

Saturday. The officers were headed to the aid of a third officer, who was assaulted in the parking lot of a Pasadena fire station.

The accident took place in the parking lot of a building on the 6500 block of Spencer Highway.

A man was reportedly carrying a backpack and looking into cars when a La Porte Police officer confronted him. The man attacked the officer, who called for help.

Mohr was struck in the parking lot on the way to help the other officer, and has since been hospitalized. The man who attacked the La Porte officer has also been hospitalized with minor injuries received in the fight. The man is also being charged with assault on a police officer.

It is still unclear what the man was doing in the parking lot in the first place. The incident is still under investigation at this time.
