Pedestrian Injured in 3-Car Collision

According to news reports, a police officer was responding to a call when he crashed into a pair of parked cars, leading to the pedestrian’s injury.

 

December 22, 2018 – 11:00 pm: One unidentified pedestrian was injured late Saturday night when a police car responding to a call hit a pair of parked vehicles by the side of the road.

The accident took place on Wheatley Street, near the intersection with Montgomery Road in northwest Houston. The police car was heading northbound on Wheatley at the time of the crash.

For unknown reasons, the officer lost control of the vehicle. He hit a parked car, which was forced into yet another vehicle. In the chaos that followed, one of the vehicles involved in the accident struck a pedestrian. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital and is now under treatment in stable condition.

The other vehicles involved in the crash were not occupied at the time of the accident, so there were no injuries there. The police officer was also uninjured in the crash.

It is still unknown why the police officer lost control of the vehicle, leading to the accident. Houston Police are still investigating the crash.
