Webster Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run Accident on Sunday

According to news reports, the police are still searching for the driver of the vehicle responsible for the pedestrian’s death.

October 15, 2018 – 9:40 am: A pedestrian in Webster, Texas was struck by a vehicle and killed while crossing the street in Webster on Sunday morning.

The accident took place on the 1400 block of FM 528 in Webster, where police were called to the scene. The victim’s identity has not been made public at this time, nor have the circumstances leading up to the accident.

The Webster Traffic Division and Criminal Investigations Division are both actively searching for the driver of the vehicle that hit the victim.

The Webster Police Department is inviting anyone who knows anything about the accident that could help their investigation to call them at 218-332-2426 (ext. 5). The model and color of the vehicle are unknown at this time, so any information of this sort would be very helpful.

Accidents involving pedestrians are particularly likely to prove fatal, because of the lack of protection available to pedestrians. In Texas during 2017, 614 pedestrians were killed in movehicle accidents.
