Motorcyclist Killed in Harris County Crash

According to deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the driver responsible for the crash failed to yield the right of way to the motorcyclist.

May 16, 2019 – 10:30 pm: A motorcyclist was killed in a crash that took place in northern Harris County on Thursday night. The female driver of the SUV that hit him has been hospitalized with minor injuries.

The crash took place on the 9100 block of FM 1960 in the northern part of Harris County. A silver Jeep Liberty was headed eastbound, while a black motorcycle was headed westbound.

The driver of the Jeep Liberty made a U-turn into the opposite lanes in front of the motorcyclist, failing to yield to him in the process. The motorcyclist was killed in the crash. Harris County Deputies report that the man was not wearing a helmet, and that he was speeding at the time of the crash.

The woman driving the Jeep Liberty was injured in the accident and has been taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office say it’s unclear at this time whether any charges will be filed against her.

The accident is still under investigation at this time.
