According to Houston Police, the man died after hitting a guard rail and falling from a ramp.
May 26, 2019 – 1:00 am: A motorcyclist was killed very early on Sunday morning after his motorcycle hit a guard rail and he fell about 50 to 60 feet from a ramp.
The accident took place near the George Bush Intercontinental Airport, where the man was turning from westbound Will Clayton Parkway onto south John F. Kennedy Boulevard.
According to Houston Police Sergeant Jesus Uribe, “For some unknown reason, he lost control of his motorcycle and fell off of it. Unfortunately, he fell off the bridge and the motorcycle kept going.”
The man has not been publicly identified at this time. No other vehicles were involved in the accident, and no one else was harmed in the crash. Uribe speculates that speed may have been a factor in the accident, although this has not been determined definitively.
Investigation into the crash is still ongoing at the present time. The man’s identity will be released after his next of kin has been informed. Uribe states that the man was about 50 years old. More information will be made available as it comes to light.
