Motorcyclist Died In An Accident On Highway 105 In Montgomery County

According to reports, a motorcycle rider crashed into a Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputy vehicle.

July 29th, 2018 – 3:15am:  A man, whose details have not been made public at this time, was involved in a fatal accident north of Houston in Montgomery County. It was reported that the crash happened when a man’s motorcycle struck a Sheriff’s deputy vehicle from behind.

According to reports, the accident happened on Highway 105 near Walden Road. Authorities say the motorcyclist was killed during the accident.

Texas DPS Sergeant Erik Burse said, “We have a motorcycle that was traveling westbound on state Highway 105. We had a Montgomery County deputy that was exiting southbound from a private drive. Once he exited, there was a collision.”

At the time of this report, the cause of the accident is still unknown. Also, no eyewitnesses to this crash have come forward. It is also unclear if the motorcyclist was fully at fault, or the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputy contributed in some way.

Meanwhile, the report says that the deputy did not sustain any injuries.

Highway 105 was closed for several hours in both directions following the crash.  The highway was only opened once the on-site investigation was completed and the deputy’s vehicle and the motorcycle were removed from the scene.
