Man Killed in Hill County Rollover Wreck

According to news reports, the accident happened very early in the morning. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.

 

January 9, 2019 – 3:00 am: The 35-year-old Jake Thacker of Grand Prairie was pronounced dead at the scene of a rollover accident in which he was thrown from his vehicle. He was driving at the time, and there is no word on whether or not he was wearing his seat belt during this single vehicle crash.

The accident took place in hill county, on IH-35W near FM 2959, just north of Hillsboro.

Thacker was driving a Nissan SUV southbound at the time of the accident. For unknown reasons his vehicle left the roadway. At this time, he tried to correct the vehicle and successfully reentered the roadway, but his vehicle overturned.

Thacker was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. According to a statement from the Texas Department of Public Safety, Thacker’s next of kin have been notified of what happened.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash, and no one else was harmed in the accident. According to DPS, the accident is still under investigation at this time.
