Man Hospitalized Following A Fall At A Hotel Along West Loop South

July 27, 2018

The worker remains hospitalized after the accident that took place while power washing a hotel in Southwest Houston.

July 27, 2018: The Harris County Sheriff’s Office reported that the man was an employee of the hotel (undisclosed at this time) and working at the time of the accident. He was power washing the canopy above the front door when he fell off the scaffolding. An eyewitness said he stepped onto the board and lost his balance leading to the fall.

As the man fell he landed on a hotel guest that was checking in at the time. The hotel guest was identified as a 32-year-old woman who was walking into the hotel just at the moment the accident happened.

Miraculously, the woman is reported to have only sustained minor injuries – and she was treated at the scene by paramedics. However, the hotel worker was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.

HCSO is still investigating the incident.
