One Killed in Hit and Run Accident

According to the Lubbock Police Department, they are still searching for the driver responsible for the crash.

May 14, 2019 – 11:00 pm: An unidentified female pedestrian was killed in a hit and run accident that took place in Lubbock, Texas on Tuesday night. Police are still searching for the driver responsible for the crash.

The accident took place near the intersection of Avenue Q and 27th Street in Lubbock.

The woman was crossing the street with her bicycle and her dog at the time of the crash. The vehicle, headed northbound on Avenue Q, hit the woman and her dog, who were both killed in the crash.

The driver fled the scene of the accident, and Police are still searching for the suspect. Neither the driver nor the woman killed in the crash has been publicly identified at this time. The driver responsible for the crash will likely face charges for failure to stop and render aid once he or she is found.
