Driver Injured After Police Chase

According to Houston Police, officers were chasing the driver for about half an hour before the crash took place.

May 13, 2019 – 2:30 pm: A runaway driver was seriously injured in a crash that took place after a long police chase on Monday afternoon. The driver has not been identified, and police have not commented on what charges the man may face after recovering from his injuries.

The chase began on Calhoun Road at around 2:30 p.m. on Monday afternoon. The driver led Police on a chase that lasted about half an hour, finally crashing near the Southmore exit of the southbound lanes of Highway 288.

The driver was injured in the crash, although the extent of his injuries has not been made public at this time. Police have not released the driver’s identity, and it is unknown which hospital he is receiving treatment from.
