One Killed in Lubbock Crash Thursday Night

According to the Lubbock Police Department, investigation into the crash is still pending at this time.

May 9, 2019 – 10:30 pm: Juan Soto, 15, was killed in a single-car accident that took place in Lubbock, Texas on Thursday night. The driver of the vehicle, 30-year-old Tommy Cisneros, has been hospitalized in critical condition.

The accident took place on the 3100 block of Marsha Sharp Freeway in Lubbock.

The vehicle was headed eastbound at the time of the accident, when the driver lost control of the vehicle and the car went into the median between the freeway and the access road.

The car rolled over and stopped in the median. Both Cisneros and Soto were ejected from the vehicle in the crash. Both of them were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Soto was pronounced dead at the hospital, and Cisneros is currently alive in critical condition.

At this time, it is unknown why the driver lost control of the vehicle, leading up to the accident. The Lubbock Police Department is still investigating the crash at this time. More information will be made available to the public as it comes to light.
