Body Found In White Oak Bayou Wednesday Morning

According to news reports, the body was found in White Oak Bayou, and the cause of death was not immediately released.

 

January 2, 2019 – 10:10 am: A man’s body was found in White Oak Bayou on Wednesday morning. At this time, the man’s identity and cause of death have not been made available to the public. Investigators are still working on retrieving the body and finding the cause of death.

The body was found near Main and Commerce streets, near where White Oak Bayou meets Buffalo Bayou.

Members of the Harris County Precinct 1 environmental crimes unit found the body near the banks of the bayou. According to Houston police, the department’s divers have been called onto the scene to recover the body.

The man’s identity, cause of death, and time of death have not been made public at this time. It is currently unknown whether the man’s death was an accident, a criminal act, or some other unknown type of event.

This is not the first body found in one of Houston’s bayous in recent weeks. Just last Wednesday, December 26, a woman’s body was found floating in a bayou in Milby Park.

The man’s death is still under investigation at this time.
