Police report that the man on the bike was killed on Thursday afternoon in southeast Houston.

April 18, 2019 – 4:25 pm: A bicyclist was killed in a crash involving a car that took place on Thursday afternoon in southeast Houston. The identity of the man who was killed has not been released to the public at this time.

According to police reports, the accident took place on the 2100 block of South Wayside Drive, in the area of the Gulf Freeway.

The bicyclist experienced a serious head injury in the crash, and was declared dead on the scene of the crash when emergency responders arrived at the site.

At this time it is unclear what led up to the accident, or whether the bicyclist or the driver of the car was at fault in the crash. The driver of the car was not injured in the accident.
