Two Killed in Industrial Accident

According to authorities, one worker was killed immediately, while the second worker died a little while later in the hospital.

April 4, 2019 – 9:00 pm: Two workers were killed in an accident that took place at Spitzer Industries, on the 13800 block of Industrial Road in east Harris County.

The accident happened when a piece of heavy equipment flipped and landed on three workers. One of the workers was killed on the scene, while another was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and later died. The third was treated at the scene of the accident.

Spitzer Industries has not commented on the accident at this time. There is no information available regarding the piece of equipment that flipped, but it is believed to have trapped the two workers who were killed. The victims of the accident have not been publicly identified at this time.

According to Spitzer Industries, the site of the accident was its Waterfront Facility, which “provides a direct link to the Houston Ship Channel, enabling worldwide shipment of large components.”

The cause of the accident is unknown at this time. Police are currently investigating the accident, and arrived on the scene shortly after it took place.
