Woman Seriously Injured in Katy Freeway Crash

According to news reports, the woman lost control of the vehicle, leading to the accident that took place late Wednesday night on I-10.

 

December 26, 2018 – 11:30 pm: An unidentified woman is seriously injured as a result of an accident in which she lost control of her vehicle while exiting the Katy Freeway on Wednesday night.

The accident took place while the woman was exiting from eastbound I-10 onto Washington Avenue. Because of slick road conditions, the woman crashed into a tree between the freeway and the feeder road.

According to Captain Mario Gordon of the Houston Police Department, the tree the woman hit was in a precarious location. He says “It took a little bit of effort to get her out of the car.”

The woman was trapped in her vehicle as a result of the accident, and it took some time for police to free her. She was later taken to the hospital in serious condition.

There is no information available regarding the woman’s current condition. Police have not released any information on her identity, nor have they drawn any conclusions about the cause of the accident at this time. The crash is still under investigation.
