Man Seriously Injured While Helping a Stranded Driver

News reports state that the man was helping the other driver push a broken-down car out of the road when another vehicle hit him.

October 3, 2018 – 6:30 pm: A man who stopped to help a stranded driver was struck and pinned between two cars on Wednesday evening, receiving serious injuries to both legs.

The accident took place on the southbound lanes of Aldine Westfield Road, just south of FM 1960.

The man got out of his vehicle to help another driver push a broken-down car over onto the side of the road, when another vehicle hit him from behind. The man was trapped between the two vehicles and rushed to the hospital with serious injuries to both legs.

Southbound Aldine Westfield Road was closed for several hours after the crash, while officers from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office conducted their investigation.

At this time, none of the individuals involved in the crash has been publicly identified.

There is no word at this time about what caused the driver of the other vehicle to crash into the car the man was pushing. This accident is still under investigation as of this time.
