Two Killed in Small Plane Crash

According to the National Transportation Safety Board, investigation into the crash is underway and the cause is unknown at this time.

April 21, 2019 – 2:43 pm: Two people were killed in a crash that took place about 50 miles northwest of Austin on Sunday afternoon. Last weekend, two small plane crashes in Texas resulted in a total of eight deaths.

This crash took place near the Shirley Williams Airport in Kingsland. According to the Kingsland Volunteer Fire Department, it took place at the Williams Lakeshore Airstrip, just north of Legends Golf Course.

According to authorities, the plane was a lightweight single-engine aircraft. The model was an Experimental Rans S-7 Courier. The cause of the crash is unknown at this time. Witnesses report that the vehicle caught fire when it crashed.

Neither of the victims of the crash have been publicly identified at the present time. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, there were no survivors in the crash, which killed both of the people on board the plane at the time.

The cause of the accident is unknown at this time, but one aviation expert reports that a structural failure appears likely at this time.
