Two Killed, Five Injured in Italy, Texas Crash

According to news reports, a woman and a boy were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident on Saturday evening.

 

January 12, 2019 – 5:20 pm: A woman and a young boy were killed in a crash that took place on Saturday evening in Italy, Texas. Five others were hospitalized after the accident.

The crash took place at the intersection of FM 667 and White Rock Road in Italy, and first responders were sent to the scene soon afterward.

The woman and boy were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident after police arrived, accompanied by Italy police and personnel from the fire department.

Two adults and one child were taken by ambulance to Baylor Hospital in Waxahachie, while two children were airlifted to Children’s Hospital in Dallas. The severity of their injuries was not made immediately available.

The identities of the victims of the crash have not been made public at this time. There is no information available concerning the cause of the crash or the vehicles involved in the accident. The conditions of the injured individuals have not been announced to the public.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash at this time.
