Three Teens Injured in ATV Crash

According to investigators on the scene, none of the teens were wearing helmets at the time of the crash.

April 21, 2019 – 9:30 pm: A 13-year-old girl and two 14-year-old boys were injured in an ATV crash that took place when the vehicle they were riding hit a mailbox. Reports indicate that one of the boys received critical injuries in the crash.

The accident took place on the 3900 block of Cedar Hill Road, near the Eastex Freeway in the northeastern section of Harris County.

Investigators state that the girl was driving the ATV at the time of the crash. She swerved to avoid a dog in the road and hit a mailbox. All three teens were thrown from the vehicle and received injuries.

One of the boys experienced serious head trauma and was in critical condition as of 10:14 a.m. on Monday. None of the victims was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. The victims have not been publicly identified at the present time.

Investigators are currently trying to find out who is the owner of the ATV involved in the crash. Investigation into the crash is ongoing at the present time.
