Driver Injured in Single-Vehicle Crash in Crosby Area

August 26, 2018

Sunday, August 26 – 4:00 am: A driver in the Crosby area was injured after crashing into the front of a home on Alma Street.

The house is located at a T-intersection with a stop sign. Apparently, the driver went past the stop sign without stopping or turning, crashing into the home at the end of the road. The vehicle’s air bags deployed and the home’s occupant was woken up and called the police. Fortunately, the vehicle was stopped by the porch and did not push through to the walls of the house.

The vehicle’s driver was hospitalized for minor injuries after the accident but is not expected to face serious long-term physical effects from the crash.

The accident took place early in the morning on Sunday, when the driver of the vehicle lost control and hit the front porch of the home. No one in the home was injured, although serious damage was done both to the vehicle and the porch.

Authorities are still investigating the accident, and it remains unclear what caused the driver to lose control of the black car.
