Pedestrian Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash

According to the Longview Police Department, it is believed that the driver of a silver Cadillac was responsible for the crash.

May 7, 2019 – 11:00 am: A pedestrian was struck by a silver Cadillac in Longview, Texas on Tuesday morning. The pedestrian has been taken to the hospital with what are described as non-life-threatening injuries.

The accident took place at the corner of West Avalon Avenue and High Street in Longview.

Lt. Shane McCarter of the Longview Police Department reports that a silver Cadillac was headed southbound on High Street when it hit a pedestrian at the crosswalk. The driver of the Cadillac did not stop at the scene of the crash.

Police are still searching for the driver of the Cadillac, and anyone with any information concerning the crash is encouraged to reach out to the Longview Police Department. At this time, police are unable to identify the driver.

The cause of the accident is unclear at the present time. The identity and condition of the pedestrian have not been made public at this time. The driver is likely to face charges for failure to stop and render aid once he or she is found.
