One Woman Injured in 6-Car Pileup

According to news reports, the accident was caused when an air conditioning unit fell from the back of a pickup truck in the middle of the road.

 

January 14, 2019 – 11:15 pm: One woman was injured in a 6-vehicle accident that took place on a Houston freeway on Monday night.

The accident took place on Interstate 45 in northern Houston, where an air conditioning unit fell from a pickup truck in the middle of the freeway.

A driver swerved to avoid the air conditioner, running into the side of a Houston police captain’s vehicle in the process. This caused a chain reaction in which six separate vehicles were damaged.

Only one person was injured in the accident. The woman was taken to the hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening at this time.

According to police, the driver of the truck that lost the air conditioner did not stop after the accident took place.

None of the identities of those involved in the accident has been made public at this time. The condition of the woman injured in the accident has not been made public. The accident is still being investigated at the present time.
