August 17, 2018 ~10:00 pm: A Houston police patrol vehicle was struck by a METRORail train Friday night at around 10 p.m. The crash occurred on the Red Line in midtown Houston around Main and Elgin.

One eyewitness said the train and the car skidded for 30 seconds, though authorities have not provided an official account of the incident.

ABC Eyewitness News said that at least four people were reportedly injured, and none were transported to the hospital. The outlet also reported that the injuries were not life threatening.
