Man Killed After Jumping out of Car

According to police, the man was having an argument with his partner when he jumped out of the moving vehicle and was hit by an SUV.

April 26, 2019 – 1:00 am: A man was killed on Friday morning after jumping out of a moving vehicle and being hit by a Nissan SUV. He was reportedly having an argument with his partner when he jumped out of the vehicle and ran into oncoming traffic.

Houston Police Department Lt. Ronnie Wilkens reports that the accident took place while the couple were headed southbound on the Pierce Elevated.

The man’s identity has not been released to the public at this time. He was hit by a Nissan SUV almost immediately after getting out of the vehicle.

A passing nurse pulled over and tried to perform CPR on the man, but it was too late and the man died at the scene of the crash.

The driver of the SUV that struck the man pulled over and cooperated with police as far as possible. He is not expected to be charged with any crimes in connection with the accident. The event is still under investigation at the present time.
