Four People Injured in Single-Vehicle Crash

According to police reports, the accident was probably caused by the driver suffering some kind of seizure, leading up to the crash.

April 24, 2019 – 7:00 pm: An SUV hit a convenience store in Hitchcock, Texas on Wednesday evening. The driver of the SUV was injured, as well as three people in the store.

The accident took place at the M&M C-Store at the corner of State Highway 6 and FM 519 in Hitchcock.

According to police, it appears that the driver, an elderly man, lost control of the vehicle after suffering a seizure while driving. The SUV hit the building with enough force to carry it through to the back of the store, crushing several merchandise racks in the process.

A store clerk and two customers received minor injuries in the crash. The driver showed no outward signs of injury, but Officer Cathryn Salas reports that he may have suffered a head injury.

The man has not been identified publicly at this time, and the identities of the other victims of the accident have not been released either. Investigation into the crash is still ongoing at this time, and more information will come to light as it continues.
