Drunk Driver Causes Two Accidents, Injuring One

According to news reports, the man was driving with his 6-year-old son in the car at the time of the accidents.

 

November 27, 2018 – 8:00 pm: Luis Daniel Guzman, 32, has been arrested and charged with felony DWI with a child under the age of 15 and failure to render aid. He allegedly caused two accidents, injuring a motorcyclist while driving drunk with his 6-year-old son in the vehicle on Tuesday evening.

The first accident took place on the corner of Veterans Memorial Drive and Blackpool Place in north Harris County. Guzman hit a motorcyclist, and deputies report that the motorcyclist may have a broken leg as a result of the crash.

After leaving the scene of the accident, Guzman rear-ended a vehicle at the intersection of Veterans Memorial Drive and Bammel North Houston Road. He fled the scene of this accident as well.

Police later found Guzman at Willow Bend Apartments. They arrested him, and he now faces felony DWI with a child under the age of 15 charges, as well as charges for failure to render aid.

Guzman and his son both suffered lacerations from the second accident, but they are expected to recover well.
