Woman Critically Injured in Single-Vehicle Crash on FM 1960

According to news reports a man was injured in the crash too, but he received only minor injuries.

November 2, 2018 – 2:20 am: Two people were injured in a single-vehicle crash early on Friday morning. One unidentified woman is in critical condition, while a man involved in the crash is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The accident took place in Harris County on FM 1960, near Bobcat Road.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office received reports of a car heading westbound. The vehicle went out of control, rolling over five times before hitting a pole.

The impact with the pole ejected the male from the vehicle and trapped the woman inside the car. The man had been ejected from the car and thrown into the woods nearby.

When police arrived on the scene, they found the woman trapped in the vehicle and had to cut her out. She was airlifted to the hospital with critical injuries. The man was found in the woods and taken to the hospital by ambulance, with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police report that speed was a factor in the crash, and they suspect that drugs or alcohol may also have been involved. The accident is still under investigation.
