August 16, 2018 – 8:00 pm: Two men were burned at the new Texas Live venue in Arlington, Texas on the 1600 block of East Randol Mill Road.

The Arlington Fire department was called in after a can of cooking spray was accidentally left on a hot griddle. By the time the firefighters arrived there was no fire remaining. Two employees of the entertainment complex suffered burns in the incident. Both were hospitalized, one being taken to Parkland Memorial Hospital, while the other was taken to an Arlington hospital. After the two men were taken to the hospital, the scene was quickly cleared.

The Texas Live location is very new, a factor which may have contributed to the incident. The grand opening took place just last weekend. Kitchen crews in the complex’s restaurants are still in the process of adjusting to their new location. The new Texas Live location includes a Lockhart Smoke House, Guy Fieri’s Taco Joint, Pudge’s Pizza, and Troy’s, as well as an event pavilion. News reports do not specify which of the restaurants was the site of the griddle explosion.
