A store clerk had to be pried out of rubble and debris Tuesday afternoon after a pickup truck, with three men with ski masks on, backed into the convenience store and tried to pull the ATM out of the store.  The convenience store is located near Collingsworth along the Eastex Freeway.  According to authorities, the men fled the scene after realizing the ATM did not fit through the hole from the crash.

school related injuriesA 12-year-old Fort Bend student is in ICU with brain damage after collapsing in gym class last week.  His parents are praying for a miracle after doctors at Texas Children’s Hospital informed them their son he will more than likely be in a semi-vegetative state if he recovers.  According to reports, the seventh grade student from Dulles Middle School collapsed during gym class.  The nurse and principal were called to the gym, but apparently, neither CPR was administered nor a defibrillator used while the young boy struggled for air.

truck crashA 21-year-old Alabama man is dead and another was seriously injured in a collision at the intersection of Farm-to-Market Road 592 and Texas Highway 152 in Wheeler County, Texas Monday evening.  According to a Department of Public Safety Trooper, 21-year-old Steele allegedly ran a stop sign at the intersection and slammed into a 59-year-old man in a Ford F-250.  The young man was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene.  The driver of the Ford was taken to a nearby hospital and is now in stable condition.
