Woman Killed in Hit-And-Run Crash

According to news reports, police are still looking for the man responsible for the accident.

 

December 9, 2018 – 4:30 am: One woman was killed in a hit-and-run accident in Houston after a truck rear-ended her car, which was stopped on the East Freeway.

The accident took place in northeast Houston, on the East Freeway in the area of Mae Drive.

The woman was parked on the side of the freeway when she was hit from behind by a gray pickup truck. The force of the impact was strong enough to flip the man’s pickup on its side.

Witnesses report that the man got out of his truck and fled the scene on foot once his vehicle came to a stop in the middle of the freeway.

The woman was pronounced dead on the scene of the accident. Police are still not sure why she was parked on the side of the freeway at the time of the crash.

The Houston Police Department is still looking for the driver of the truck, who was not on the scene by the time police arrived.

The accident is still under investigation, and the driver is likely to face charges when he is found.
