December 3, 2018 – 6:00 am: The 17-year-old Myles Hutcheson was killed in a crash that took place on Monday morning. Hutcheson was a varsity basketball player at Vista Ridge High School.

The single-car crash took place on Brushy Creek Drive in Cedar Park on Monday morning, about a mile away from the school.

The cause of the crash is unknown at this time, although it is known that Hutcheson’s vehicle was the only one involved. Cedar Park Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.

No one else was hurt in the crash, and no other vehicles were involved.

Basketball coach Clint Anderson says Myles was a leader both on and off the court, and that he was extremely friendly and positive. Anderson told reporters, “I know that I’ve changed a little bit because of Myles and I know I’m not the only one. Everyone he’s touched and reached out to and talked to feels the same exact way about him.”

Visitation is scheduled to take place on the afternoon of December 5th, while the funeral will be on December 6th at 10:00 AM.
