Teen Killed in Austin Crash

According to news reports, the teenage passenger was killed and two others were injured in the accident.

 

February 9, 2019 – 1:00 pm: The 13-year-old Messiah Zion Mouton was killed in a single-vehicle accident that took place in Austin on Saturday afternoon. A woman in her 30s suffered life-threatening injuries and an infant was also hurt in the crash.

The crash took place on the 6000 block of Springdale Road and Rogge lane in Austin. According to police, the driver was headed northbound at the time of the crash, losing control and hitting a utility pole. The red 1997 BMW was seriously damaged in the crash.

The intersection was closed for several hours after the accident took place, while preliminary investigation was underway and road crews worked to clear the area. The cause of the crash is still unknown at this time.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash, and no one but the vehicle’s occupants were injured. The identities of the woman and infant injured in the crash have not been made public at this time.
