One Dead After Six-Car Accident in Houston’s Fifth Ward

Police state that one man has been charged with intoxication manslaughter, as they believe he may have been on PCP at the time of the crash.

October 12, 2018 – 10:30 pm: An unidentified man was killed and at least three other people were injured in a six-vehicle accident that took place Friday night.

The accident took place at the intersection of Bringhurst Street and Liberty Road.

Steven Taylor, the driver of a white pickup truck, ran a red light at the intersection. He originally hit two other vehicles, but in the course of the accident, he hit several others. Police believe he may also have been speeding when the accident occurred.

A passenger in Taylor’s vehicle was killed in the crash. At least three people were hospitalized after the accident, although some reports say that five were taken to the hospital.

Taylor has been charged with intoxication manslaughter as a result of the accident. Police are not sure what substance he was under the influence of at the time of the crash, although they believe it was PCP.

The identity of the man killed in the crash has not been made public. The accident is still under investigation at this time.
